HAWTHORN'S SOLUTION
Hawthorn`s Alan Jackson, working closely with college staff, came up with a multi use space which could be divided into 4 with drapes, giving both students and teaching staff the ability to rehearse and teach separately from each other.
The lighting system consisted of an overhead patchable grid controlled by Zero88 Chilli 24 dimmers and an ETC Smart fade ML control desk. The desk is able to plug into any of 4 DMX inputs, thus allowing the space to be used in many different configurations.
A mobile sound rack with speakers in the lighting grid was also provided enabling sound to have the same flexibility as the lighting system. Video projection facilities were also provided.
`We couldn`t have asked for more from Hawthorns` said Drama Lecturer, Dave Baliol Kay "the system far exceeds our expectations and does everything and more."
