HAWTHORN IS PROUD TO SUPPORT A LOCAL CHRISTMAS ARTS PROJECT AT COSSINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL
08 December 2011
Hawthorn is proud to be supporting a Christmas local arts project at Cossington Primary School, where the children used Lee filters to make a series of stained glass windows.
The windows were to celebrate the arrival of the Diocese statue of Jesus and the 'Held Together' message which promotes the concept of the Church as a family and the school as a welcoming and supporting environment.
Hawthorn's Hire Manager, Dave Slater, commented "We were delighted to be able help Hayley Fern, our local Community Arts Development Worker from Rawlins College, Quorn with this project. Its such a great use for our Lee filter off cuts and whilst we always support local projects when we are able to, its great to get the children interested in the arts so early on in their lives".
