MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM HAWTHORNS
14 December 2011
2011 has been a busy year here at Hawthorns, we’ve shown growth in all areas of the business and there is a positive outlook ahead. This year Rex Howard our drapes division has supplied drapes to many of the familiar TV favourites, Royal Variety, X Factor, Strictly and strangely Top Gear and Come Dine with me! As well as the rental of our vast array of stock drapes, we were commissioned to make custom drapes for the likes of Beyonce and Lady Gaga TV specials.
The events team client base continues to grow and projects have taken us all round Europe working all manner of events, from business conferences in 5 star hotels to motorbike launches on the catwalks of Milan. We were proud once again to support the Moonwalk charity in their fundraising events with over 15,000 fundraisers attending the Hyde Park event. This year we also provided the audio for the Worldskills opening and closing ceremonies at the O2 attended by over 10,000 people.
The Installs team have successfully completed further installations to Academies, Venues and Places of Worship.
We’ve welcomed Mick Freer on board who will be building further relationships on the concert side. This year we have supported a number of artists and look forward to many more with Mick’s wealth of experience.
We’ve been investing continually over the last few years, from Clay Paky fixtures including the hugely popular Sharpys, Avo consoles, Christie HD projectors along with all manner of staging including lightweight and perspex tops.
The Walling Systems division continues to expand at a rapid pace offering stunning bespoke printed backdrops to exhibition stands, festivals and commercial outlets.
Finally if you are ever in the area, pop in for a coffee and come and see what keeps 104 full time staff busy!
Wishing all our clients and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and many thanks for your continued support throughout 2011.
